Budget airlines are also playing their part in bring France to the masses. The number of locations that can be reached via a budget carrier is growing all the time and this means that the number of investment hotspots is also increasing.
Studies have shown that the value and rental income of a property near an airport serviced by a budget airline is notably higher than that of a property that is not so well served by transport connections.
One such area is Limousin, which is served by Limoges airport. According to a spokeswoman for Property Frontiers: \"The Limousin region has been making its mark in recent years, especially now that budget airlines are flying to Limoges.\"

France\'s famed rail network is also contributing to the growth of the county as an investment hot spot. The TGV is a high speed rail service that holds two world records - fastest wheeled train and highest average speed for a regular passenger service.
The operators are constantly expanding the network and last year made new links to the east which slashed the journey time between Paris and Strasbourg. \"This greater accessibility will increase property prices in Strasbourg itself and also at other stops such as Reims and Colmar,\" Property Frontiers are advising investors.
Speaking of Paris, investors may be interested to know that the city was recently declared the top city in Europe for investment by major accountancy firm PricewaterhouseCoopers. The company has predicted that Parisian investments will offer the best returns and lowest risk over the next two years.
